On mine i used an OS1.60FX and an APC 18X6W. Plenty of prop clearance. The plane is a little heavy but solid. Be sure to check you stab incidence as it will probably be off from side to side and off with the thrust line. It is one of thoes planes that seems to always be hunting for a straight line. I used mine for learning inverted stuff low to the ground because it is cheap compared to others out there and a mishap learning new things would not break the bank.

Hi orac7,

If I"m not mistaken you"re talking about the CMPRO Extra 300S.I like this plane very well.

What are people's thoughts about putting a CRRC 26cc gas engine or a 46cc gas engine on the CMP Extra...I recently purchased a used one that came ready to fly, but the engine was way underpowered. So I am going to put one of these two engines on it, and I would like some input on which one.
