Default Yo Outcast..... I need help...

I have a kangke 60 size extra with a .91 Tigershark. The motor runs good but doesn't make much power so I purchased an OS 91 fx. To be honest the Tigershark was the first .91 size motor I have ever seen and when I got the OS in and looked in the box I was floored by how small it was. It has to be a half pound or more lighter than the Tigershark. My question is would I be better going with a 1.20 saito or os fourstroke for balance than trying to move everything forward to get this to balance. Also.... how far off of the leading edge would be a good 3d balancing point. I have flown this a lot and I love it with the balance point right at the fattest point of the wing but I am ready to start moving it back anyway. So I guess my question is how would a Saito 1.20 compare with this mammoth Tigershark .91. I kinda want a fourstroke anyway but my main goal is to start learning some 3d maneuvers.

Warthog, Paul is correct, the Saito is heavier and weight is not a good thing. The TSI should be more than enough for 3-D work as will the OS. The Saito however will work fine, but you may want to consider the 100 rather then the 120. The C.G. on mine is at 4-1/4 back, if you go past that it becomes too hard to hold straight lines and landings get tough. Control throws are more important than C.G. For the ailerons you will need about 25- degrees, for the elevator you will need about 45-degrees, and for the rudder use all you can get. Use about 75% expo to soften the control input around center when in 3-D mode or you will over control the plane. You didn't say what prop you are using, try an APC 16-6 or 15-6 for the most static thrust. Be very carefull with speed when in 3-D, it's easy to over-stress the airframe. Hope this helps

Default Just called Kangke...

And they told me that their .91 was cast in thier 1.20 case and they also told me that their case was a little on the heavy side. In fact they thought that the Saito 1.2 would be about the same weight as their .91 if not LIGHTER..... I do know that this .91 fx that I just took out of the box is at least a pound lighter than the TSI .91 and it would be a bear to get to balance.

I know I know and I wouldn't believe it myself if James hadn't just told me this. I can't say enough good things about those guys at kangke..... super nice and helpful.

From: Mena, AR,
Default I think I have decided....

on the Saito 1.20. It will actually weigh 3-4 oz. LIGHTER than my TSI .91.
