Putting the Tango together and I noticed that the engine sorta tilts up a tad from level. Everything is installed tight an proper as made, but this bothers me a little. Has anybody else noticed this at all?

This is probably the engine offset. It varies from plane to plane depending on the planes design. It can be set up, down, left or right from a fraction of a degree to a number of degrees. Enjoy the assembly. You may want to reinforce the glue joints if you think they look weak. Make sure the hardware included is in good condition. Assemble and then triple check your balancing points and your radio set up. Make sure your batteries are correctly charged. Go to the field and have fun.

Out of all the planes I have built/had, I never have had one with the engine tilted up a deg or two before. If I don't like the way it flys like that I'll put a washer under the back engine bolts to get it back level.

Horizon is absolutley worthless when it comes to answering tech ?'s like this.

Thanx,
Ron

Put mine together last w/end and found the engine mount to firewall bolts were too long and actually held the fuel tank back from it's correct postion, the bolts would have eventually punched a hole in the tank
I know I only needed to cut them back, but thought this was a bit slack

I already fixed the bolt situation, tell me about how your engine sits in comparison to the plane. Does it look like it is pointing up just a tad or dead level.

What I am trying to get at here is that, did they glue my firewall in wrong, or is the engine suppose to be tilted up just a little on this plane.

Toolman,
My Tango looks to have a degree or two of up thrust built in to it.

Ahhh.... finally somebody answers my ? Thats about what mine looks like it has. I just didn't wanna proceed with putting it together if this part was wrong. This is the first plane out of 10 or so I have that has shown any up thrust to the engine, so it kind of made me stop an take notice of it.

Thanx,
Ronnie

Sorry I haven't replied, however it's a long W/end here in Oz and the weather has been excellent for many outdoor activities so unfortunately I've been enjoying them rather than playing on my computer
The answer to your query is "YES" the thrust on the motor in my Tango is upward and slightly right
I think it has something to do with the wing mounting postion an the fuselage
