I've got my new H9 Pawnee on order, makes me want to really add some scale stuff to it. Does anyone know how to make a flashing LED? I want to make the anti-collison light on the cockpit flash, maybe even the wint tip lights work the same way. I'm not an electronics whiz by any means. Any help from those that have the knowledge?

Shoot me your email address. I can't submit the schematic here because the format is not supported here.
It's simple to assemble and it's cheap to build. You can adjust the flash rate and you can build a couple of them for wing tip navs and dorsal fin lights.

Here's a link to resources for RC circuits...

Of course you can also purchase a prebuilt RAM Lite's kit.

A better link to Electronic Circuits for RC: [link=http://www.speedy-bl.com/electr-e.htm]Click me - RC Cicuits[/link]
And a VERY GOOD and complete pre-wired plane lighting system for only $9.60/ea!!! Or rather the whole setup!

The latter has full flashing LED's simulating rotating beacons, landing lights, etc.... for a great price!

I purchased a couple of blinking LED's from Radio Shack. One has a clear lens and the other has a red lens. I don't think they were more than a couple of dollars each. With the proper resistor you could tap off the receiver pack as they don't draw much current or you could run it off a separate battery.
