Default RE: Duh.........?

The Fusco site will hopefully be going down very soon now.
There are some of us who are still going to help the new manufacturer in sales as distributors. We are setting up our own sites since Val'a has all the information to our existing ones, which are ours in the first place. So we are having to start fresh with new sites since he has vanished with all information to our existing site passwords.

Our new websites that we are working on are not in any way linked with Fusco, and as far as I am concerned he is a loser who should be in prison for fraud.

So can you tell us who the manufacturer in Michigan is? They will be producing the 1/5 scale Longeze and the 1/4 scale Quickee...is that correct?
From what I can tell, the new manufacturer is Fusco's Michigan Distributor. I am guessing that from address matches. I could be wrong though... Used to be www.hagedonrcaircraft.com. Was working last night, but not tonight.

Nope, there is no more to be heard of Val'a Fusco.
He has disappeared for now. No one can get ahold of him not even any of
the Distributor's. He has conned many of us and this new manufacturer has been
taken advantage of by Fusco too. Imagine that. He is definitely a scumbag.

I hope he is found soon and brought to justice!!

Yup. I'm with you! Very suspicious. Watch out! The "Distributor's" (sic) were questionable from the start, as well. Posting fake messages on usenet, for example:

From: RCflyer ([email protected])
Subject: New company I came across

Newsgroups: rec.models.rc.air
Date: 2003-04-27 06:33:18 PST

Here is cool looking plane the 1/5th scale Long EZ. Built from the Burt
Rutan design.
Guess it's been around for awhile. Got it from this place
www.cloudnineaircraft.com
What I like especially is that this kit and all their kits are Made in the
USA.
The package is loaded with lots of goodies too. A pusher prop, fuel tank,
pilot.....

RCflyer ([email protected])

He was referring to his own website. Ponderous, no? Just "came across" it. "Guess it's been around for a while". Business practices seem familiar?

The "Distributor's" (I love that error) may be all the same person, and just may be the person going by the possibly fake name "Fusco".

Probably not, but I am glad I never ordered one. Caveat emptor.

I'm pleased that someone else has come to the same determination as I... A thing, rotating above, or in this case, below, a point, will eventually show it's face again... Tread carefully prospective customers... Pusher prop indeed! The Quickie kit was also endowed with a "pusher"... I suppose it's all in the perspective...

I am victum number 218. Val'a has screwed me out of over $1400.00. I have been told every lie and excuse that I have read in this forum, verbatum. I have filed a complaint with FBI. I would personnelly spend this much again to see him put away. I would join any joint effort, or persue prosicuting him myself if I knew the proper channels to take. I would appreiciate any help in determing those channels. Thanks, John Wyzard

John (and others),

If you paid with a credit card you should still be able to get your money back. Heck, I paid $1000 in November 2002 for the Berkut and $1500 in February for the King Air.

I contacted my credit card people and sent them links to all the Fusco threads on RCU plus the Fusco fiasco thing that Mike James had on his website.

I got a refund in 4 days even though my charge was almost a year old and the credit card people can go after Val'a now.

Sounds like both Visa and Amex have help people so far, which is good news. I'm waiting to se if my M/C will honor any portion of the $$ I am out. I too used info from RCU as evidence with my cc company.

The first container of Skymasters will arrive late Oct and will have 20 units in it. Thus far 8 people have got thier names on them.

Stop by the Las Vegas show next month to see it up close.

Engines will be .60 2c through .90 4c.

The aircraft disassembles into 4 pcs: Outer wing panels, wing center section/booms/stab (all one unit), and the glass fuse pod.

Humor for the day:
Fusco really knows how to run a business.................into the GROUND !

Don, I bet fusco really laid it on thick with you. Since Mike James is in AK as well, he probably promised you the world.

I'm #237 and paid by M/C and I showed everything to them and they refused to credit me back my loses.

Great card, won't use again. So I sit and wait for the FBI. Or word of the Val to reappear to the public.

Well, I did get a lot of "warm fuzzy" phone calls and e-mails from Val'a. He did quit calling about the time Mike James posted that he was severing all ties with Fusco Aircraft. I think Val'a was packing up to disappear about that time.

I don't want to drag Mike James into this again but as I explained way early in these Fusco threads I really believed Val'a was not blowing smoke about his delays because there was Mike J. right there saying that the kits were going to be delivered. I figured if Mike said it was good, it was good. I had a hard time believing that two modelers who lived in different areas would collude to intentionally screw others modelers.

I really got antsy when Edgar in Puerto Rico posted his "I've been screwed" thread and then the day the Mike James said that he was duped too was the day that I contacted my credit card company.

I'm glad I did. They actually said I was the most patient customer they had ever heard of and that they couldn't believe I waited as long as I did. Never again...deliver when promised or I immediately cancel. I learned my lesson.

Matt, do you plan on being at the Hobby Vision show in Las Vegas? We have a group of our club members attending the QSAA event and we plan on visiting the show as well, probably Saturday afternoon. If you plan on making it out, let me know. It would be a pleasure to meet you and discuss KMP's models.

Unfortuneately I paid the original order with a money order, and the retracts and genuine Italitian seats with a chashiers check. Didn't want wife to know how much I had spent. Learned a valuable lesson there.

I got a similar song & dance when I called to complain about my (non) planes back in April. "I'm running a trace on the Long-EZ" "they're two weeks away" "we're waiting for the shipper" "we're waiting on some new parts" ad nauseum.

the *****.
