I put a 90 on a 40 just for fun.

My Feedback: (9)
I have had this Pizzaz hanging for two years with the gear block out. The Super Tigre 90 is from a recently retired Ult. The servos and RX were all just colecting dust. The two elev servo I had to buy but nothing else. The plane took little modification to fit the 90. To save weight and to push the Tigre back. I cut out the factory ply mount. Then installed a round Hays on the fire wall. The elev servos were also moved to the rear in the name of weight/CG. With the batt over the gear the CG is right on. It has 5 flights on it now. It will have the batt moved back before the next one.
It does not fly a lot different that it did with the Saito 72 on it. At least at 1/3 power. Point the nose up though and hang on. I have a few overpowered 3D planes. They have good verticle but nothing like this thing. It never slowes down. It would be out of site in less than a minute. It's also fun to fly along 1/4 throttle and nail it straight and level. You can actually see the plane jump forward.
Also in the name of fun I have a 100% ailivator mix. This means the elev halfs move up and down with the aile.(see pic) This mix does a few strange things. For one since the tail and wing are not in a straight line it will give a little barrel roll. Knife edge is also very interesting. This plane needs a little aile&elev on knife edge to hold it straight. With the mix this makes the plane crab fore and aft in knife edge. Kind of a strange thing to see.
Sorry to ramble but this gets my blood pumping.

I once put a Saito 100 in a 40 sized Extra!!
Great flying airplane!! Full throttle uplines were a little ridiculous though, 1/2 throttle would look good.
Had to land a liitle hot due to the extra weight out in front.

I put a .91 Surpass in a Kyosho Sukhoi once just because I had the engine laying around. I LOVED THAT COMBINATION! It really improved my attitude (at the time) about the Sukhoi airframe. That was one of the best flying planes I have had to date. I just wish they still offered the plane [
