You could try a modeltech Magic or a profile...... they fly great and are tons of fun.

Well you mentioned out of the ordinary. What do you have in mind. What's your flying style?

thanks for the links,, as for the SE-5A, I had one back when Modeltech called it a D-7 LOL, it didn't fly to well, but it was fun to fly just for that reason,,

I did see the Hobby People Mig 3 in a magazine after I started this post,, I would like to get that and recover it in sliver and stripe it as a racing plane,,, cool..

If you dont mind getting something that Nitromodels, they have loads of choices for you.
If you have been around for a while you can easily make most of their aircraft into decent fliers.
They have good selection and something different like a long EZ ,civilian and warbirds

Get one of these goldberg falcon 56 ARF's for your K&B.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/product_gu...fm?kit_id=5333

I have that same K&B engine that I am mounting into this ARF now, hope to have it up and flying in a few weeks here.

It would be a "period correct" combination for the 70's retro pilot.

I am NOT going to use the 70's radio gear though

Mike
