Dont know how this will fly with the RCV58 but I should find out this weekend. I know most are using the OS70 surpass!! But???
My 2 cents says the kit is great. Parts fit perfect and construction and monokote work is very good. Few folks can build this well.
Made a battery box out front and it balanced perfect. No other added wieght.
I did change landing gear wing incidence to match main tri-wing assembly. All three wings incidence matched with factory mounting as did the stab.

HI,
Just Flew my dr1 last week.I have an os 91 surpass in it. it balanced Perfectly. This plane flys great!!!.Its now my favorite.I dont know if you have read any of the other threads but they made me nervouse about the first flight.I worried for nothing.I didnt have any problem with groung looping. It's quite easy to land.I had the unfortunate pleasure of two dead stick landings. One was a good way away from the strip and the other was inverted over the strip.I managed two bring her back both times. Its not a glider but wont fall out of the sky either. The landing gear is a bit narrow,so it requires a little more attention.Hope you have a great time with yours.

Flew mine for the 2nd time today. The first time (couple weeks ago) I didn't have the LG wing on and no ali/rud mixing. It had the balloning effect when throttling up and was a little squirrely in the turns. Now with the LG wing on with the neg incidence it only ballons slightly when throttling up. And I mixed 60% rud/ali, now the turns are more stable. I have a Magnum 80 w/ a RAM on board glow, so I haven't had a dead stick yet. I put a steerable tail wheel so ground handling is no prob.
