Any ideas on what kind of servos to use. Also is the stock setup ok for elevators or should I use to servos. If two servos are used should I mount them in front on the tray or in the tail.

Default Servos

I used two Hitec (2) 605's for the elevators, 615 MG on the rudder in the supplied mounting area. I would suggest you dont mount in the tail. I have a Saito 1.50 and have heard that I will need 12 oz. of lead in the nose. Keep this in mind. Engine size will determine the balance and how much weight if any. I mounted the throttle servo just behind the instrument panel because I used the mount in the plane for the second elevator servo. Ailerons are also 605. Do not use the supplied pull pull wire, buy yourself the Dubro 4-40 pull pull. Mines ready other than a spinner, trashed it.

Did mine same way as Chook. Same servo's too. G-23 in nose. Haven't flown it yet though.

Default struts...

I saw this model at the WRAM show. The only thing that turned me off was the fact that the functional struts were screwed to the landing gear??? What happens when you have a hard landing and bend the gear???
Am I just fishing here? Has anyone else had these thoughts?

Default problemo

In the final stages of this flying machine. One thing I can't figure is a good way to locate this wing strut nuts that supposed to be in the wing. I can't seem to locate them. Are they really there? I'm measuring and feeling but can't feel them babies. Hate to just start probing that covering. Any tricks?

Try heating up the area with a covering iron while pressing down a little. It should reveal them that way. Bill

Default Struts

Hi Nik,

I am not to concerned about the struts, the anchor point is high enough that you would have rip the gear off the damage the wings. On a rough landing the gear may flex, but it should be more out board towards the wheels and not affect the anchor point.
