Just putting together my new Showtime 50 and findig some problems. First of all i have over 3 degrees of downthrust in the firewall, it would take 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch of shims to get the thrustline to the recomended 0 degrees relative to the wings. When I installed the horizontal stab I checked the incidence with the inboard part of both wings and everything was good. Now that the elevators have been installed I have almost 2 degrees difference at the outboard ends of the halves;one up 1 degree one down 7/8. The wings are good there is a slight twist in the right aileron but I think this can be taken out by shrinking the covering.
What do you guys think if I shim and trim will I end up with a reliable good flying airplane or should I expect more from this ARF. The only other ARF I've put together is a GP Lancair and it came out perfect no twisting or shimming to make that one fly right.
