I found that the grub screw that is visible when in the retracted effect the solidarity of the down lock but I found that out thinking that it actualy held the wire leg in position. OK, OK it doesnt. I have pulled the leg out and tried to find a grub screw that held it in but I cannot see one. the leg(s) is(are) fairly loose now - all cause I pulled them out perhaps! but how were they originaly supposed to maintain their position? I needed to remove the very excessive toe out and now have a pair of lose legs - the doctor isnt a help either
Hope someone know else I'm screwed - just wish I could screw my legs - the planes not mine!

OK, OK. so I'm dumb. #~The reason I couldnt find a grub screw because the retract leg I was looking at never had one in it. The other did so it answered my question. Guess all you guys know but for the benefit of the sanity of others there should be one in the lage brass insert (pivot) - Oh well. We live and learn.
