Default PA Extra 260E on A123's??

I just bought an electric PA Extra 260(Bundle package) for a practice plane.

The package comes with a 3cell Lipo battery pack.
I need to know if I can use A123's instead, the pro and cons of doing this.

I know almost nothing about electric planes, this is my first.
Can anyone give me a few pointers, suggestions to help an electric newbie??

Thanks in advance

MR G

the lipo battery will give the model alot more flight time on one charge than the 123 batteries. if your lipo 3 cell is an 11 volt pack just think how many of the 1.2 volts a123 batteries you will need to make up the same voltage. lipos for electric power anyday.

A123's are 3.3 volts per cell not 1.2 They are however heavier than lipo's
