I'm building a TOPCAP arf and I'm wondering if anyone who has built one already could offer me some advice. Did you CA or epoxy the Wing joint? Did you use CA or Finishing resin on the fiber glass reinforcing tape? Does the muffler on a webra speed 50 clear the wing because it looks like it doesn’t? And can anyone recommend a good pipe that will clear the wing for a Webra Speed 50 GT. I love the throttle transition right now and don’t want to bugger the thing up with the wrong pipe.
Thanks a bunch and happy landings

I had to add a thin balsa shim to the wing saddle, then I used C/A with baking soda to fill everything in. I used C/A on the FG tape. Do everything in order when assembling the horizonal stab and elevators. Several people have forgotten to insert the elevator halves. I mounted the servos into the hatches with wood screws instead of dinking with the servo rails. It's your choice though. They fly great. I've been flying mine for over a year. I used a Sullivan tail gear in lieu of the supplied wire thingy.

The first kit I build as directed. I later found the TopCap and other Morris models tend to break just behind the wing. I added a strip of carbon fiber tape and no more problems, till the midair (don't hover so near the runway! )

Try a seach under 3D flying.
