I have a new kadet senior arf. I am using a Satio 56 as power. My question or problem is that I needed to put 12 oz wt in the cowling. IS this normal? joseph

I test flew the ARF version on the SIG Kadet Senior this past Sunday. Total weight was 7.7 lbs including the 10 oz of nose weight needed to balance. I'm using an OS 70 Surpass with an APC 14-6 prop, a larger engine than the recommended engine size, but a little heavier also. Prop clearance is quite small too.

The wing loading at this weight is less than 16 oz/sq. ft, so "can you say floater?"

Excellent flying plane. I may start taking weight off the nose and see how it does. BTW, the battery and receiver are as far forweard as possible, since there's a solid bulkhead 4" behind the firewall that stops you from moving them any more forward.

Look for the full review in an upcoming issue of R/C REPORT Magazine.
