[8D]I was looking at the EAA site for their 2008 fly-in and I noticed a show group called the Shell Aerofliers that fly four great looking AT-6s. Shame no one makes an AT-6 ARF in their great trim scheme (red and white with a black and white checkerboard cowl). I'm going to the 2009 EAA at the end of July, beginning of August, 2009. I went to one about ten years ago and it is a great airshow and static display of everything from WWI and WWII warbirds, homebuilts and antique general aviation, to F-15s and this year F-22s. If you love planes of all sizes and types like I do, you owe yourself a trip to Oshkosh at least once. About 50,000 people show up during the week.

Hi, Mike.
I saw this very team this year in Traverse City, MI. VERY nice looking formations and airshow. The color scheme is quite attractive and I agree would make a sharp looking model on the flight line and in the air. Anyone interested in this type of aircraft should see the group fly if given the chance. And don't forget the sound of 4 AT-6 planes roaring over your head...

I always enjoyed the aeroshell team too. I don't know if ya'll have heard, but a week or so ago one of the pilots that live here in Alabama got injured at home and is now paralyzed from the chest down. I don't know if the team will continue to fly or not.

[8D]Wonder if anyone sells the AT-6 on this side of the Atlantic. With the Euro-$ exchange plus the shipping if would be quite expensive if ordered from Europe.

That is a real shame about the injured team pilot. I wish him the very best on his recovery. The team did a fantastic job at the airshow and most all of the crowd was thrilled with the sight and sound coming from their formations.
Hey, BAMA....ROLL TIDE!!!!!
