From: Livingston, NJ,
I am in the process of building the CG Decathlon. So far I am quite impressed with the quality of the airplane. Goldberg really raised the bar for ARFs. The only negative comment is that the manual is not up to par with the quality of the airplane. Thus, there is a little bit of guesswork to do. I am sure that they will improve it in the future making this a absolute perfect ARF.
Now, for the happy, and not so happy owners of this airplane, any building and flying tips?
Thanks!!

I have a cg decathlon and it flies great! Got a Saito .91 on mine and it has plenty of power but not unlimited vertical. I have had nothing but good luck with it. I also use it as my backup plane when I am at IMAA events.
Good luck

From: Livingston, NJ,
I just finished it. It looks really good. I put a Saito 100 in it with a 14x6 prop.
If it flies as well as it looks, I'd recomed it without hesitation.
Any recomendations for the maiden flight?

First of all, I would recommend an APC 15x6 prop. I have found it to be the best prop for my Saito 100. Secondly, I would advise you to be easy on the rudder when you are taking off or landing. The rudder is VERY sensitive, which surprised me since it isn't even counterbalanced. Other than that you should not have any problem with the plane. It is very well-behaved and is a joy to fly. I am building one with a 89" wing and I hope it flies as well.
Good luck!
