What a disappointment. I got my ModelTech magic 2 days ago. While inspecting the parts I was amazed at the quality of the covering. I pulled out the decals and didn't get what was shown on the box. The big red MAGIC sticker that the box shows on the wing is now smaller and black. I wish they would change their box. It looks soooo much nicer on the box.

Just got off the phone with them and they said there was no mistake. Thats how they come and the one I see on tower was just their prototype. WOW. So now we dont actually know what our planes will look like till we get them home and open the box. There were a couple of other planes that I was considering, I chose the Magic because of its appearance. I am now afraid to order anything from ModelTech as I dont know what I am getting. I know that i am over reacting but the decals were one of the main reasons I bought this plane. I hope I am not also disappointed in its performance.

Hope you're not too disappointed with it. I just got mine in the air for it's first flights. I can tell you that I could not tell you anything about the decals... I was WAY too busy fliping it and twisting it around the sky and then doing an out of fuel deadstick landing. It is a blast and WAY more plane than I'm ready for. Have fun with it. Let us know how it builds and flies. Andy

I have the same decals you do. I'd send 'em to ya if they were what you wanted. I bought mine for the really wide flight envelope. Fly it,,, you'll like it!

Flylust. LOL
As i begin building it I agree. It's not as neat as it looked on the box. With the landing gear I can almost take off from a cornfield. Which is fine by me.
I didn't buy it specifically for its look. I had 3 planes to choose from and this one looked the coolest.
Anyhow. I guess I wasn't really complaining about the stickers. I was upset because they show one thing and send something else. In this case it was only the stickers .
This thing looks like it will fly really well. I will be installing an os .46fx with an 11.5x4 apc prop, and my mousse can pipe is on its way. I cant wait. I have already forgotten about the stickers I just want to see it fly.
How do you guys have the motor installed? I ordered my mousse can with a long mac header but I still don't know if I can install it vertically. Is the head turned to the right from inside the cockpit and how far? 2 3 4 oclock? Thanks.

I'm mounting mine with the head at 90 degrees to the right. 3 o'clock relative. I have 4 engines to choose from. 40LA, 40FX, 50SX and an FS52S. I have Pitts mufflers for the 2 strokers so it makes sense to me. I'm gonna try the LA 1st. Going for light weight. Hopefully it'll fly this weekend. I'll let ya'll know how it goes.

Forget the decals. I have three friends flying the Magic, and when they fly everyone else stops flying to watch. Get it in the air and you will be smiling all day.
Also you may want to try the APC 12.25x3.75 prop for the 46

Is the LA lighter than the 50SX?
The 50 has a ton more power... unless you need it to fly something else- use the 50!
Watch out for the landing gear the welds are backwards so anything but a perfect landing and they will break-
The Magic flies EXTREMELY WELL!
