H-9 Sukhoi / RCS 215
Would this engine fit (11.5" dia.)?. If so how would it fly?, the engine weighs 12lbs. or so. The combination would definately be an impressive sight/sound. I have the engine for a Corsair but would like to get a little air time before that.

I know both the plane and the engine. Though the engine would fit the cowl, just barely, the weight of the engine would require adding TAILWEIGHT just to reach the average starting C/G.
The added weight needed to balance the plane would detract severely from the normal performance compared with the performance of a twin 80 to 100cc engine. Also, why would you want to spend almost $3,000.00 for an engine when a two cylinder engine costing at most $1,800.00 would outperform the radial? The cost comparisons are using worst case scenarios.
I would just bench run the RCS until I needed it for the Corsair. The LHS dealer had the same idea, and was nixed for the reasons noted above. The radial is now being installed on a 1/3 scale Genesis Waco that's almost complete.
