Default RAF Chipmunk

I'm looking for a Chipmunk (not Super Chipmunk) in the standard red/white RAF trainer colour scheme.

Anyone know of one (aside from VMAR that is)?

Default Chipmunk ARF

Ummmm, let me clarify; I'm looking for an ARF of a Chipmunk. The only one I know of is VMAR. Are there any others?

I guess from the overwhelming response to this post that no-one know of any RAF chipmunks?

Does anyone have recent experience of a VMAR Chipmunk?

Default Vmar crap!

tiggerinva,
My father owned a Vmar chipmunk. The same plane you are talking about. He has been in this hobby for 30+ years and I have been flying for about 15+ years. We have both built many kits and arfs. The Vmar chipmunk is without a doubt the biggest piece of crap I have ever seen. The quality is terrible and the plane did not fly well at all. I called Vmar and told them my disappointment with the plane. Their response was terrible, an "oh well" attitude. I would never buy one of their arfs again. If you do a search about vmar arfs you will see I am not the only one who feels this way. They have a terrible reputation. If you have any more specific questions about the airplane feel free to email me at [email protected]

You could try here:-

http://www.cws-scf.ec.gc.ca/hww-fap/...cies=56&lang=e

You get a whole one there too. (not ARF)

Default Non-furry Chipmunks...

OK, joking and Super Chipmunks aside, it looks like the only alternative is:
40-60 size Chipmunk

This is a kit but it looks like the only model available of a 'proper' Chipmunk. Of course there's the Dynaflite Chipmunk kit also, but its a bit too big...

A little more seriously (I'm the one who gave the animal chipmunk link (ho!)) there's a guy at out field who has a 60 size (I think) chipmunk that looks OK. I am going there tomorrow and will ask him what manufacturer it is, and come back here.

I think you'll find that the line return confuses your browser. Sweep backwards and upwards to highlight the link, right click and copy, and paste into the browser address area.

Justa thought!
