I would buy only one full size aircraft... but for R/C airplanes, they are like eating only one potato chip. Ya jus can't eat one!

Chuck I am going to have to agree with you. They are like My Precious. LOL I like the reference. Hitecman you should be hung for even considering just 1 plane. LOL just kidding. Man that is a tough question. This is like being in a job interview and they want to know how you would save them millions.

Hmmmmmmm, [sm=50_50.gif] I am going to have to say a B-25 kit with 2 Magnum 70 4 stroke engines and a Spektrum radio (whatever is necessary to accomodate my plane) It would have working bomb bay doors, working lights, scaled inside and out, have pilots and crew members in all positions, and have moving turrets. Man I am getting goose bumps thinking about it.

editing was for a misspelled word.

Everyone is so different in their flying style and in what they want a plane to look like that you'll get a lot of different answers. Throw in 'preferred engine' and it increases the possible combinations to mind boggling numbers.

<< EDIT >> My choice is a kit, and this is the ARF forum, so I deleted it.

I have the answer for you in one word ! DIABLO !!

I have three entire seasons on this plane.. I quit caring about the glue drips about at the middle of the second season.. It has been broke so many times I can't guess at the number.. People have told me to toss it, I nearly did a few times, then a friend told me .."That thing is a landmark around here fix it" .. I swear it just seems to make the airframe stiffer each repair. i think its been completly broke in half (except pushrods) maybe 4 times...and no electronics other than batteries have ever failed on it...

If I had to choose to have only one plane for a very long period of time (Not forever as many others have said and I agree) I would choose a scale semiareobatic biplane.
1.- It would look nice and will be proud to own.
2.- Will give you the ability to perform some aerobatic maneuvers.
3.- It also will keep you busy on maintenance.

Happy Landings!!

I would go with one of QQ's planes - adapted to fly pattern well, but still IMAC legal. 73" Somenized Yak with a YS 140 engine:
http://www.qqaircraft.com/planes.asp...&s_PLANE_CAT=c

Ability to compete in pattern and IMAC means lots of stuff to learn and improve on.

Looks, performance, power, quality. You can always be better at doing something, and I think these planes should be the most capable at honestly showing you your flying skills.

Hitecman; Like everyone else, I can't imagine just one airplane.....BUT if that actually were the case it would be the G.P. Curtis P-6E Hawk with a Saito 1.80.....I've got this combo and it's by far the best flying plane I've ever had. Large size easy to see and will do just about anything I want. In fact I like it so well I've got another one still in the box (just in case).

For me it would be my Great Planes Super Skybolt ARF with a Saito 1.00.

Multiplex Acromaster - can be docile on low rates or a 3D monster on high rates, extremely durable and easy to repair, clean broke the nose off 3 weeks, glued it back on and it flys exactly the same. The place I fly most the grass is often too long for ROG / UC landings and have had literally hundreds of flights with it belly landing, the wings remove in approx 30 seconds to put it in the car / strore away and it handles wind reasonably well.

Can hardly believe I'm not seeing things like Comp Arf Flash with Jetcat P120, or Mibo A-10 with two of the same.
Or a BVM Bandit.
If your reach, reach for the top and go big!

I'd have to go with a UCD 60 size with mighty 110 engine. The most fun plane I have and truly a riot to fly. Easy, fun, cheap, very 3D aerobatic. Just a great plane. I can't be without one. My face hurts from smiling when I fly it. Every time.
Thanks
Barry
