Default Need Idea Help on a KMP P-47D ARF Build ?

One of my best R/C buddies is stuck on the assembly of the KMP P-47 ......
He is quite experenced in building technicics as he has many Kits and ARF's in his hanger which includes Bryon Pitts, P-51's, Corsair, P-47, Mig Ducted Fan's, Sabre F-86 and KMP's 2-P-38 , 2-B-25's and now including the P-47.....and etc just to many to list them all here. He has been building and flying for over 40 years.

This is the one that has both of us stumped.

Now on to the problem....

#1. No way to install the Cowl Plywood reinforcement plates into the front fuselage cowl locations, without cutting the front of the fuselage out or off.

#2. Fibreglass in the areas to place the plywood is very rough and poorly laid. Doubts that the ply. would lay flat or evenly with out using a Dremel even if you could get one in there to do that. He has already cut out the forward former out where the fuel tank fits (only the right hand vertical tank side) and does not want to remove the whole former just to lay in the cowl mounts...

#3. He has other issues with the aircraft also one being able to mount the drop tank without out right butchery.

#4. Can anyone identify some plywood parts that are not on the hirogliphics instruction sheet but are included in the kit ? Their are 8 of these and are plywood about 3 in. long and 3/4 in wide with two 1/4 in. holes about 3/4 in. in. in from each end and centered width wise. I thought that they may be some additional motor mount spacers... but don't look like the ones we have identified for that purpose.

If you are assembling one of these, your help would be appreciated and we would be very happy to hear your thoughts and building ideas on this airplane.

My comments on this ARF is that the aircraft is beautiful, but the instructions are worse than none at all !

TIA
