Default Cowl for Skyraider Mach 2

Hey Guys; I am wanting to put an engine cowl on my WM Skyraider Mach 2. I was wondering if the cowl from a WM LA Racer would fit. Has anyone tried this?

Yup, It's been done. Home made cowel thou.
OS 55 AX /Tuned pipe and pylon wheels. NOT worth it, ALL control sufaces started to flutter at speed and it was not worth the effort to correct the problems.

Saw one today with a T-34 cowl and another with a home made balsa cowl. Both looked good.

My brother and I went to the hobby shop yesterday. Sort of a Christmas shopping run. They had both Sky Raiders, and I thought about this thread, but they did not have an LA Racer. I do not know if they'd be willing to help, but you could call Airborne Models (925-371-0922) and ask if they have the dimensions of the cowl. I've never seen an LA Racer at the field or at the hobby shop.

FF ... after a while the torque rods will get loose and the new WM planes tend to crack their wings when subject to high Gs. I seen too many recently. The sheeting at the root rib seems to crack a long the length of the root rib. Guess they are best with a 46 2C only. Older planes never had this problem.
