I received my firebird XL through the post today went about building it, it is finished, batteries charged. I went out to fly it first time but it just doesn't want to take off, I do not have anywhere to do a rolling take off and I can't sem to get the technique of the hand launch, is there anything I am doing wrong, please help.
Thanx Matt

Matt,
I don't own one of these (yet) but I did see them on the DIY show on the TV. Make sure you put the throttle at full power. When hand launching people have a tendancy to throw the airplane UP, NO NO NO don't through it up throw it LEVEL! and throw it with a good amount of force. Think airspeed not altitude at first. You will notice the plane dip down tword the ground, just don't get jittery with the elevator, use it smoothly to gain altitude once your speed is up.
I hope that helps, I saw another guy with a similar park flier, he was "hand launching" it as if it were a rocket, striaght up!!! He couldn't figure out why it would come right back down....
