I was wondering what you guys are using for control throws. The manual says:
Aileron- LO 3/4" UP/DN HI- 1 1/2" UP/DN
Elevator- 1" UP/DN 2" UP/DN
Rudder- 1 1/4" RT/LT 3" RT/LT

Does this mean each way or total travel?

It means each way. I ended up adding a little more travel for each surface. The throws look like a lot but the plane is pretty easy to handle.

i use the degree throw meter from central hobbies so i can give you my throws in degrees if you can use those....

I flew the heck out of one of these. I used the suggested low rates as noted in the instruction book. For high rate throwsI used the "all I can get and maybe a little more" method and set up the radio with 65% exponential on the high rate switch.

The plane will fly with any amount of control throw you put into it. Just make sure you have enough altitude to recover if you stall out of a manuver.

Heads up!
Do not, whatever you do, ever ever fly this plane at full throttle unless the nose is pointed straight up!.

No fooling here, I have had 3 of them. I learned to fly funflys on them, hence the 3.

I have a friend who told a guy at the field the same thing on his maiden flight, he didn't heed the advice.
He flew the pattern for three circuits to get it trimmed out, the he gave it full throttle on a flyby.
10 seconds later his tail group fluttered and came off the plane.
He lost 3 servos, and a carb and muffler.
Not to mention the price of the plane.

All told he spent 200.00 cash for less than a 2 minuet flight, just because he did not listen to good, sound advice.

Here's a tip.Don't be that guy.

B 4 i glued my stab on i took a piece of 1/32 plywood and glued this to the bottom of the stab. no breakage this way. i 2 have seen those tail break in flight prior to me build the kit. The kit was very popular 3 year ago but there are much better ones out there in todays world mine has survied quite sometime with a os-91 on the nose and a 14 x 6apc about a 6lbs deal.

I agree completely with Mike Bogh. Very few of the fun fly airplanes that are over powered will stand up to full throttle flight.

I had to replace the aileron hinges on my Fun Tiger after a very shourt bout with flutter. I was very lucky to have saved the plane. I did lose a Pizzaz with an OS 61sf due to high speed flutter. My fault, not the manufacturers'.

Fly 'em slow and in tight, while enjoying highly maneuverable flight. You keep them a lot longer that way.
