Default E-Flite Apprentice Motor Housing Crack

I'm just wondering if anyone else on this board has had any experience with the thrust-shaft end endbell cracking on the E-Flite Apprentice. Frankly, the plane is awesome and flies really well as a trainer, so I'm a fan but having the motor endbells manufactured out of glass-filled plastic was a dubious design choice, imho. Anyway, I saw a few postings about this problem on RCGroups and thought I'd check my own motor - sure enough it has a crack along one of the grub-screws that retains the endbell against the thrust-shaft boss. So, if anyone has had this problem happen, have you had any experience with getting assistance from Horizon on this problem or do you have any alternate (read 'tougher') motor suggestions that will work with the stock 30A ESC?

Thanks!

-Ben
