I've got an Aresti coming this Monday. I've read the threads about weak horizontal stabs and the like. I'm thinking of adding flying wires to help compensate. Any other tips from those of you who have one? OBTW, I'll be putting an OS70 on it.

being that the landing gear comes in 2 halves, realy hard landings can make them pry apart and split the fuse
. a guy in our club did just that and promptly replaced his with a 40 sized one peice landing gear. or you could make an aluminum plate (wouldn't have to be thick) to span the fuse at the landing gear to connect both sides.

I would also replace the tail wheel. I used the stock setup on my Ultra Stick 40, which is the same as the Aresti, and it broke off after only a few flights. I went to a Sullivan Tail Wheel Bracket and I haven't had any problems. It looks good too. I did add another piece of thin ply to the tail before I mounted the vert. stab to give the screws a little more to bite into.
If you would like pictures of the setup I can send them.
