Does anyone have experience powering a Great Plains Gee Bee R2 with a small gas engine. I realize the fire wall may have to be beefed up, but are these fuselages prone to cracking? I have a 28.5 cc Ryobi that would fit. Seems like I have seen some at the swap meets with cracks in the fuselage. Thanks in advance, Gary

I assembled one with a G-26. It took some work, but I got it to balance without adding any tail weight.
A friend, who flies one with a 120 4st stopped by and picked mine up. He said that it was way too heavy. I took out the motor and radio gear, then sold the airframe.
