My landing gear came loose on the first landing because I used the supplied metric hardware and forgot to replace the bolts with 8-32 bolts with locknuts. The second landing after replacing the bolts, the liteply plate broke but no damage to the plane. I replaced the plate with 1/4" ac ply and that came loose after about 20 flights. I than installed 3/4" aluminum angle above the plate with the bolts going through the aluminum angle. I never had a problem with the landing gear itself. The last flignt of my Lanier 540 Edge ended when the landing gear catching the top wire of the power line on the north side of my Club's field. Didn't break the gear but the fuselage was in two pieces. The plane is repaired and ready to go when winter is over with. I make three or four landings every flight and the last flight was # 93.

P.S. This plane flew fine with a old OS120 surpass turning a APC 16x8 prop 8700 - 9000 rpm on 10% sport fuel.
