I picked up a Sig Extra 300SX ARF from a guy that was moving in a deal, really wanted the other plane more, but the two together was the deal.
I've had a MT-42 for a while with nothing the right size for it, it's kind of orphan you never see it promoted, but to my surprise it turns out to be a pretty nice motor. I've got three flights on the plane today and the seem to be a very good match. The plane is built a little to stoutly for a 3D plane and the control surfaces are a little small for that type of flying. I would think it would make a real good IMAC entry level plane though.
I used some HD-2550A servos, they're analog servos, but they have about 200oz of torque. I bought 10 in a deal, one didn't work new from the package, one burnt out after about 2 minutes. They don't give me that warm fuzzy feeling, I'm watching them real close. I'm running 2400 Ni-Cads for the RX and 600 Ni-Cads for the ignition, both 4.8v.
Two things I don't like about the plane are the wing has the leading edge cut out going through the fuse, I think that causes a stress concentration, and the plastic fairing they use around the fin/stab joint, it looks a little tacky. I would give it a 9.5 for ease of assembly, And a 9 for the flying so far. I'd say if you can get one for a good price get it you won't regret it. [sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif]

I took some pictures of the engine today. I got 6570 rpm with a BME 20x8 prop, idle 1900 rpm. I spoke with Larry at LS Pro Engines today, he said he's running a special on these engines for $200, I wish it was that when I bought mine. [X(]
