Pulse XT 40 - on/off switch question

I am working on putting my order in for the Hangar9 Pulse XT [ARF] and I wasnt sure if it came with the on/off switch or not. I am assuming it does, but i wanted to know if I could get one of those on/off switches that has the ability to plug in the charger as well. I dont want to have to take off the wing or anything to charge the flight battery. I have tried to find this, but I am not sure exactly which one to get, or if I am looking at the right thing. Anyone have a link or a part number you could pass along? I will be using a JR battery and charger, if that makes any difference.

The plane will most likely NOT come with an on/off switch. That should be included with your radio/servos, and it is normally just a standard on/off switch (no charging port). The one you are asking about should work just fine. The switch has two cables. You will plug your battery in to one, and the other will plug in to your reciever.
I have a charge switch on all my planes. This is the one I use. You will need a standard on/off switch to use it though. The jr one has the switch built in (thats the reason for the big price difference).

The pulse is not a beginner plane. Is this your first time with an R/C airplane? The pulse is a fairly gentile flyer, but it is not a trainer. I would suggest looking at a true trainer plane if this is your first plane.

As bonebreak says, Most ARF airplanes are only the airframe. The electrical items (battery,
switch, receiver, and servos) are installed by the builder (you). This way you can have the
peice of mind that you put them in and they are of the quality that you desire. Unless a kit is marketed as "ready to fly" then doesn't include the electrical parts or the motor/engine.
I have the switch from post 1 on a Pulse XT 60. It is a good switch but something that
complicated is not requried. Most switched have three cables coming off of it. One connects
to the battery and one connects to the receiver. The third cable is the charging cord. Most of
the fliers I know have this cord hang out in the wing saddle between the fuselage and the wing.
This way they can check the battery power between flights.
The Pulse XT is a gentile flier but it is not a trainer. Most of the guys I fly with love the
way mine looks in the air and I atribute that mostly to the way it flies and not to my ability
to fly it.

Thanks for the advice. I do have some JR servos that came with the radio and yes, it does have a standard on/off switch. I also noticed, and I did not before, that it looks like it has another component for a charge port. When I get my Pulse XT 40 in, I will be taking it to a friends house to help me put it all together. I talked to him today, but forgot to ask about this kind of switch. Not a big deal, but I figured I would ask. I dont normally check my battery level, as I charge it first thing when I get to the field. After a few flights, I just charge it again. I have a 2700mha, but I charge it anyways, just to be safe.
This will be my second plane. I have a Hangar9 Alpha 40 RTF now. I have been flying it for about a year. I have been ready (and wanting) a new plane for a while. With my birthday coming up, I am getting it finally.

The Pulse will be a really good second airplane for you, but you'll want your instructor to help for the first couple of flights.
The JR Switch/Charger'll work fine w/ your JR Radio, I use them on all my 10+ airplanes.
