Some friends and I have a bit of a "project" we're brainstorming. Looking for some ideas for airplanes.
Absolute MUST Requirements are :
ARF
40-sized , Glow powered. No electrics.
Aerobats (Cap, Edge, Yak, Extra, that sort of thing). No pylon racers, warbirds, general aviation, or "make believe" airplanes.
No "rudder only"...must use ailerons, elevator, and rudder
Monowing...no bipes.
Nice to have's, but not requirements:
Cheap, cheaper, cheapest/ The cheaper the better, even if quality is sacrificed.
Flyable on inexpensive gear (JR Sport servos, etc)
Easily repaired
Replacement components (wing, fuselage, etc) available.
Quick and easy to assemble
Things that don't really matter much
High quality build. "Cheap _____ crap" is fine in this case.
Scale looks. "Stand way the heck off" scale is fine...so long as it's vaguely recognizable as an actual aerobatic airplane
========================
I've already seen the offerings from Nitro models, and everything on tower's site. Looking for other sources. Since the requirements above are pretty much exactly NOT what I'm usually looking for, I simply don't know where to start.

Minn,
Those two are PERFECT. Thanks for the links!!
Carrell,
Excellent find...that's the cheapest I've seen that Cap, though it seems about identical to the one Minn linked, and is $10 more. However, it is, again, EXACTLY the sort of thing I was after. Thanks!
As for "the project"...I'm keeping mum for now.
gaRCfield,
Nice airplane, but not what we're looking for. That's a pattern ship, and we very specifically want a model of an existing scale aerobat.

Ah, ok...gotchya.
Not a bad thought, really...not EXACTLY what we're after, as the resemblance to scale aerobats is somewhat lacking...but sure as heck cheap, easy to assemble and fix. I'll file that away in the back of my mind. Good suggestion.

G, check these out:

Sorry about the Pinnacle - it's exactly everything opposite of what you said (and is my absolute favorite plane) so I just couldn't resist
These planes (Black Horse Models) are made in the same place as Seagull and Phoenix. Good hardware, built strong, fly nice, etc. I didn't look into getting replacement parts but I would imagine you could. These planes are covered in Ultracoat, AKA Oracover.
