I have 2 canopies and a windshield I would like to add a little tint to. Will Rit dye work on the material canopies are made of now days or is there some other way? Thanks for any insight.

Try the clear-color spray cans for polycarbonates from Tamiya. I believe they come in the primary red/blue/green... but check out 'smoke' grey. - make sure you're buying the CLEAR colors though!
You can then decide to tint it as dark or light as you like with progressive coats when the previous one dries. Don't do one heavy coat or the paint will run & spoil your finish!
Hope this helps.

I had thought about using one of the transparent paints the car guys use, but I didn't know if it could be applied uniformly enough. Thanks for the suggestion. I may yet try it.
