Default WOW!

Guess what, A guy I know that was at the field today said he would pay me $100 to build his Ultra Stick lite 1.20! [sm=eek.gif] Is there anything I should know before I start building?

Yea, don't do it! LOL

Just be careful. Some people can get very picky (Like: "You didn't do that right", or, "Look at all those blobs of glue!" , etc)

No worrys there, the reason he asked me to do it is because he doesn't know how. I can't wait. Finaly getting paid to do something that I like.

Over the years, I have gotten a lot of satisfaction out of helping others in the hobby. I'm sure you will as well. Just build or assemble planes for others as if it they were your own , and you will likely be just fine.

Watch the servo ARM set-up as flaps are a bit different in that they both have to go in the same direction as opposed to ailerons whose arm are opposite of each other resulting in one going up while the other goes down.....

He provided me with a Spektrum AR7000 reciever to put in his plane and I was wondering, is there a special way that you have to put it in or just however?

Yes, I usually get those kind of people. They all want my planes, but when when I build someone one of my planes... the smallest thing that might be off ( Even when it was like that from the factory) they want YOU to fix it. Make sure he buys everything he wants for that plane to have. Let him inspect the hardware and show him everything. If something doesn't work, or even if something is bent or warped it's best to call him and ask permission if it is OK to fix it the way you want to fix it. MinnFlyer is right... but if the dude is [8D] (I don't know him) then it might be fun to do. JMHO $100 is right for what you are going to build for him. Now if it was a Scale bird with detail, I'd have to say $100 is not enough.

Just my 2 cents worth.

A friend of mine at my Club uses the Fox Long. He says they work good on his Magnum engines. But I really like my O.S. #8 in my O.S. .91 FX-Ringed engine. Matter in fact I prefer O.S. Glow Plugs in all my engines.
