Sukhoi SU26 / YS63 56" Maiden
Just finished my "Dolphin-Co" SU26 , it is powered by a YS63....maidened it this morning....flies very well but landings require a bit of speed or it has a tendenvy to drop a wing..
I have never used a YS engine before, all i can say is "BRILLIANT" ...100% no drama,s of any kind and superb throttle response...
I think this kit is sold over there in the US as a "GH Air" ...over here in Aus it is ditributed by "Dolphin-Co".
Apart from a couple of minor niggles, its a very good kit.

As chuckW said...its far from underpowered.
This is the first YS motor i have had , and it has staggered me with its performance...... i also fly an 65" extra 300 that is powered by an OS 55AX, the YS outperforms the 55AX easily.
I also fly another model powered by a Saito 82, which can be a little finicky with tuning.......once i set the HS needle on the YS , i havnt touched any other tuning....very impressed with the engine.
The SU26, flys very well...much prefer it to the Extra..
The only faults with the kit are the minimal construction around the firewall, which i strenghtened.......the landing gear support, again i strengthened..

Hey there woofercau congrats on your first YS Ive got many of them they are great! If there is no noise restrictions where your at take the little muffler off they produce more power with straight pipes!heres a pic of my cap with its YS-63
