Default anyone put a GPS in a plane for speed?

we just put a gps in a delta wing we got at a sale and i am shocked how fast it goes. it looks fast and the gps says all but 95 mph. wow the first time it was all but 99 mph but we figured it was from a slight dive going into the run. when it was reset we did not stand on it till almost level and all but 95 mph.
can not wait for a friends smaller one for my hotrod P51. my zumo will not fit.
