Default Great Planes 300S

Ok guys here we go, well I called Aeroworks and ordered a .40 through .60 Edge 540T, they called me today and said they were out of stock and it would be eight weeks before they would get some more. I decided to go with the .60 through .90 Extra 260, so they billed me a lil more and would ship it out tomorrow. Well today I went visit a buddy at his flying field and he had the 74 inch Great Planes Extra 300S, man that thing is a beauty. He had a Brisson 40cc engine on it and it was bad to the bone. Now I want one, and want one bad! Is there a thread out already on this plane, and if there is could you give me the link. If not, share your info on the plane. I now have the lil extra for sale in the buy sell section, im asking what I paid for it and i'll eat the shipping. Basicly saving $24.95 if someone buys it from me. I hate to sell it, but I really liked that Extra 300S. The only thing that im gonna do different is put the new DLE 30cc on it. He said that the Brisson 40 cc was way to much. Give any input on all this and let me know what you think.

Are you flying 3D or sport? If 3D, maybe something a couple of pounds lighter with that engine would be sweet. The GP 300 is beautiful however.

Im not to big on 3D, I like just casual sport flying. Guys im telling yall, yesterday I seen one fly and it was awesome. I would also like to get another gasser, this would make a good lil gas set-up.

I sold mine a few years ago, but man I really liked that plane! I had to get rid of it because I was having too many issues with the OS 1.60 FX (with or without a pump) and could not afford another engine. Back then, all gassers were really expensive. This plane is built so strong I once hit the trunk of a tree head on, dead center, and the only damage it suffered was the cowling. Best knife edge flying plane I have ever had. It is a bit heavy for 3D but can handle hovering, flat spins, etc. with ease.

Thats good to know, im really pumped up about getting one. I think that DLE-30cc is gonna be a good engine for it. The only thing thats bad is, I might have to wate until christmas to get it. Man this hobby is gonna break me, lol.
