Did a quick search and didn't see a thread on this one.
Let me know if someone has already started one please, I'll move over to that thread.
Nice to keep it all together (easier)
Feel free to start adding on this, think it'll turn out to be a great a/c.
Just arrived yesterday, haven't even opened up the box yet [X(]

Planning on a Saito gas FG-20 as long as the money tree is still producing this fall.....

I'll post pic's and see how the build goes. Will be awhile yet. Probably start in November.
The retracts really caught my attention....no more bendy wire!!

Here are the retracts.. 100% happy with them, well made, nice fit & finish & appear to be very tough.
I was worried about the look of the new printed covering, but it is VERY nice! Muted silver base, looks very close to weathered aluminum.
Panel lines, rivets, stripes( matt black!!!! ) US stars, some wording ( fuel, open here.. etc) all printed.
Seperate decal sheet also.
Robart type hinges on all, not the cheapy, white "too small" type either, nice size-appropriate for where used.
Internal flap linkage.
Its a BEAUTIFUL bird for sure!
More to come.....

there is alot of posts here this thread has been going on for quite a while surprised you haven't read it http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8623566/tm.htm
that saito is pretty pricey if you want to go with a gas engine here is a good value for 200$ rear carb and loads of power http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/items/RCSSV26.html
or the smaller version with a side mounted carb http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/items/RCSSV17-H.html
I went for LADO gear in my H-9 stang they work nice.

Several of us flying the electric version with Eflite 60 or 90. There is guy who did the Saito 20 and said it was too heavy and wanted to snap on him on the turns unless he kept it moving fast. The article in FlyRC on the throws was dead on. Reduce the throws and a slight down elevator for initial flight. Like all Mustangs it wants to head left hard on takeoff. Gotta stay on that rudder. There is long thread on RCGroups for this bird. Jerry.
