I have completed assembly on this ARF according to the book.
I mounted a OS 70 4c all the way forward on the mounts.
When I tried to get the CG right the model requires 2lbs of weight in the nose to get the CG.
This doesn't seem right to me. Please HELP.........

Sideshow. . .I can't believe the kit gives you the CG point that calls for TWO Pounds of weight forward. Check your specs again. Are you using a balance rig? I can't get the link to take on this mail format, but I am sending you a good site that has a CG chart to use for any wing shape. I'll put it in Email to you.

Showdown. . Use you numbers on this chart, then compute. It balanced one of my planes that came with no manual.

Thanks for the chart George.
I'm out of the state my plane is in, I will get to it as soon as I return and let you know what I find out.

Please check to see where you are measuring the balance point. The Hobbico Extra 300S .60 balances at 2-1/8" back from the front of the CUTOUT at the fuselage, and not from the leading edge of the wing. If your model requires 2 pounds of weight to balance, it sounds like it's being balanced at a point too far forward.

I see this thread is old, did you get the problem worked out? I have a 91 4stroke in mine, and it still came out very heavy. I have 4 oz. of weight on the firewall as of right now. Make sure you have the battery all the way forward, I made a little compartment for mine right up next to the wing mounting plate.

Yes I fixed the problem by reading the instructions again.
On most models the CG is located from the leading edge back.
The 300s is located from the belly fairing back. If this is done, I had to put 2oz of weight up front.
