I have been flying for one year and am ready for my second and third planes for next spring. It is my goal to have two semi semetrical wing sport planes to take tothe field. I amhalf way through building a 4* 120 kit with an OS120AX. I am looking for a companionplane and have narrowed the search down to thePulse 60 or Revolver 60. Whichis better plane for a newer pilot. I'm not interested in any 3D or flying at 100+ miles an hour. I will either put an OS 75 or 91 in it.
Thanks,

The pulse is very similar to the 4*, so if you want something a little different, try the Revolver.
Just keep in mind that the Revolver is a bit more advanced!
Although, as I think about it, a Pulse 60 WILL be a bit different than a 120 four star

I say go for the Pulse. while I haven't flown the new Revolver .60 yet, I am very familiar with the Revolver .46. The Revolver is an outstanding flying airplane but it can be very fast and very maneuverable. It doesn't slow down as easily as other planes either making landings a little more tricky.
I'd save the Revolver for after you've mastered the 4-Star and/or Pulse. You'll appreciate more then and have more fun with it.

what about an edge, extra or yaks, something "scaleish" ? On low rates they are very docile plus theyland like trainers...and when you are ready fow high rates, just flip a switch and go ballistic

Finish the Four-Star first, and fly it a few times first. After that, I'm with Metallica on an Edge, Extra, or Yak. More advanced than a four-star, yes. But they are reasonably strait forward and predictable in flight.
As for the Revolver: I have seen the .46 sized version fly on many occasions, and it is fast as well as difficult to slow down with that slippery airframe. And if you slow it down too much, it will go into an unrecoverable spin. Keep that in mind. I doubt that .60 sized is going to be much more docile. We'll just have to wait for the reports.
The Pulse: It won't be much different from your Four-Star from my knowledge. Build it, and it'll probably last you a lifetime unless you crash it intentionally.
