Glen,
The gear is a little weak so touch down easy. Other than that the plane doesn't really have any bad habits. Practice slow speed up high until you get a feel for the plane (as usual) and have fun.

It's gonna wanna land a little hot, especially with the heavier motor. A super low idle will help (the Saito's are great for low idle), but I ended up mixing a little flaperon into my ailerons and that helped a ton! Slowed it down a good 5 mph.
AND I HAVE TO SECOND THE SOFT LANDING RECOMMENDATION!! And forget trying to keep the gear doors on. If you can find a better attachment method than the one suggested, I'd do it.
Anyway, good luck, its a blast to fly, especially fast!

I had one, for almost 2 yrs.(shortly after they were released). Sold it about a month ago. It was a nice plane, real nice.
I put an ASP .75 2 stroke in it, and can you say fast?? Yes it was/is fast. Goes up like there's no gravity. My friend I sold it to is somewhat afraid to fly it, although it was typical Mustang on rails flying, it's just a blur as it goes by though.
The gear is a bit weak for this bird though. The plane weighs about a pound more then the balsa versions. So yes, land softly as possible. The wing/tail is identical to all the rest, with the only difference being in the fusalage/canopy. Real nice planes though. I miss mine. I do have a balsa 'Stang in the (re)works though, that should take care of my Mustang fix for a while.
The reasons I sold it was that it sat for quite a while, as I got into aerobatic planes heavily, and I wanted more funds for another project. It is the easiest to replace of my planes soo...away she went. Not a scratch on her.
