I have an opportunity to purchase Hangar 9's Super Cub. I am looking for a quality Super Cub I can scale-out quite a bit. Is this a good candidate? Thinking about a Saito 125.

I have owned two of the older Super Cubs from H9. I will go on to say that they are not worth the effort to try to enhance them scale wise. The windows, cabin shape, wing struts, landing gear, and tail section of fuse are no were near as scale between the two different era's of H9 planes. The Super Cub is from about 8-10 years ago, while the New Cub just come a few years ago. I now own H9's New 1/4 scale Cub, and this one not only looks much more scale, but it also would fly circles around the older one, and it is just a J3.
The sad thing is , you cannot even get a windshield or anything from Horizon Hobby for it. The Wing tube is not even a standard size that you can get a replacement. I parted my last one out a year ago, since the parts were worth more than the whole plane together.

I actually on both of them the Supercub that is about six years old -covered in solartex in red/white-flies well with a G-26ei, I must have a different plane than motorman because mine flies well and even though it will not win any scale masters it looks nice-the new 1/4 scale J-3 is a more scale bird especially the wing struts and flies nice as well-they both fly like cubs and like rudder-I am in process of adding floats to the super cub for the summer season.

Well, I went ahead and got it...I'm looking forward to building it. I read the Model Airplane News review and it sounded pretty good. We'll see how it goes...
