Default Telemaster .40

I am assembling a Telemaster .40 ARF (5 year old ARF), but it is missing the plans/instructions and need the balance point placement and control throws. The kit has a 70" wing span, with 48" length fuselage and is a German built model.

I am very impressed with the high quality of the kit, with good aircraft plywood (no light ply anywhere), and high quality balsa. This was my first and only German built/sold model and my hats off to the "Jamara" company. With out a doubt, it is one of the best ARF's I've ever seen and that includes Top Flight (with Top Flight some of the best ARF's I've ever assembled).

Does anyone out there have the old build manual to this model...I would greatly appreciate any information you can give me.

I did build and install a servo operated drop box onto this kit. This was not standard with the kit, but something I added during the build.

Hay Red,
I went over to the web site you gave me, but no where do they show the balance placement or the control throws. They have an electric version and its instructional manual, but on the .40 size telemaster, no CG or control throws.

Any one else out there with the information I need...?

Bob, I just completed building the 40 size telemaster and added flaps. The plans show the CG at 4 3/8" from the leading edge at the root airfoil. The flaps should be set to a maximum 30 degrees and if you use a 5 channel radio , channel 5 for the flaps set to 20 degrees for the one position switch.

I wrote to Hobby Lobby on the throws 2 weeks ago with no response to date. No where on the plans or instructions do they suggest the control throws.

I have not flown the model yet but I set my controls as follows:

Rudder +- 1.0 inch
Elevator +- .5 inch
Ailerons +- .75 inch

I have received the throws from Hobby-Lobby yesterday 10/21/2011 as follows:
high low
Elevator 15 mm (9/16") 10mm (3/8")
Aileron 20mm (3/4") 10mm (3/8")
Rudder 20mm (3/4") 10mm (3/8")

I hope that this helps.
