OMG, sorry to hear this.

I actually have insurance against theft and damage. Just added it as part of my home insurance; only cost an extra $8 a month for $25,000 cover.

I would encourage your friend to file a police report, if not, even if he finds it he won't be able to do anything, with a police report on file BEFORE you find anything you will have a leg to stand on.  Been there.

This gear was stolen at the club at Aix En Provence in the south of France, the reason i put
this announce on your site is that this type of material will be very difficult to sell in France.

you are absolutely right and again, i think i speak for everyone in the radio control modeling world when i say sorry for your loss......i've suggested it once before and again i encourage you to please post pictures here, as well as any other forums you are familiar with......we're all here to help and if we knew what these items looked like, that would only increase the likelyhood that they might be found.......god bless you and your friend(the owner of the planes), i wish you the best of luck in locating the scum bags that gave this hobby a black eye........(KOOLKRABBER47)......

Been there myself, BUT, unless you know for a fact it was a modeler you should not make assumptions. My planes were probably stolen by a druggy low life as I found one of them eventually at a swapmeet. The current "owner" of my planes was a father and son unit. They calimed they had purchased it at a hobby shop quite far from where I live. Some hobby shops will take in used plane or gear and resell them to the public. 99% of the time there are no questions asked as to ownership. I know this because of the research I did while trying to recover my goods. People with drug habits or other needs for money will see a huge value in our gear even if they don't know how much it is worth or even what the item is. If you go to a swapmeet and the price on something seems to good to be true, you may be dealing with hot merchandise. OPP, other peoples property

Hmmmmmmm????........MANFRED, you wake up pretty fiesty, this early in the morning.........i'm pretty sure were speaking the same language(ENGLISH) and i don't see anywhere in "ANY" of my posts where i accused a "FELLOW" modeler of this unfortunate incident......Assumptions being what they are, i don't take into consideration race, religion, social status(druggy low life), etc, a thief is a thief, when it comes to thiefs......no hard feelings here, no love lost, please just "proof-read" your posts and the post that you are quoting from, please......no need to be so negative, this early in the morning.......i just want to finish my coffee and go fly my planes "all" day......60-65 degrees here in my neck of the woods with 5 MPH winds for the next 8 day's......i got to fly all day yesterday and all my planes and gear are still loaded in my SUV, i just have to finish my coffee and then get dressed for another wonderful day of enjoying my hobby......i hope your able to do the same, it will put you in a better mood, i guarantee it.......sorry for the long post.......sure hope we cleared the air.......thanx for listening.......(KOOLKRABBER47).........

Paul,
I agree w/the others; pictures would certainly help ID the equip. in question. Not everyone knows what a Rafale even looks like. Or the ground equip. either.
Pics would have to be of help.
Seens I saw a post somewhere else about the same kind o' thing; but they'd ID'd th' perp.
Not as nice a world as we'd wish...

My my Mr. Kool, we certainly are defensive aren't we? First of all I made no reference to your post. If YOU were to read the previous post you might have deduced that I was speaking to other post that state a modeler was to blame.

I think we can help with pictures and more details .
If it shows on the international market it will most likely show up on ebay . I know it sound lame but sometimes theses theifs are stupid and will post on a national network .
I would alert all the local clubs to look for sales on parts on the planes in there entirety .
Also file a report with internatioal shippers like UPS ect and offer a reward on packages that match the description of your planes , at times when you ship internationally you have to have insurance and the description may be listed .
Good luck

Howdy, Mr. Manfred........if you look at the post in question, at the lower right hand corner,it does in fact state "in reply to koolkrabber47'........if that was a correct assumption and it was directed to me, then i stand by my reply.....if not and it was directed to me by mistake, i am a big enough person to apologize.......by the same token, you can see my concern as i made no such derogatory statements toward any fellow modelers regarding the stolen items in question......i think anybody that was roaming these forums and is not out to help the op, should have turned the page and just go to the next thread.......i roam these forums daily and my only intention is to help, not bash, as was the original intent of all forums, in my opinion.......again, my apologies and please do check the post in question again, my title was probably posted in error.......many wonderful happy day's of flying to you sir, as i too just got home from flying all day since 9am,....corona time, my flying brother........thanx for listening......(KOOLKRABBER47).......

Where they stored in a shed , club house , or owners vehicle? I think it took something larger than a Renault sedan to haul them off do to the size of them . Someone must have seen something I would think . Ask around the site for a witness. Good luck, Max H. []
