Default Model Tech Magic v2 ailerons.

Hi there.

I bought this ARF sometime ago (maybe 6 years) and carried on assembling it today. Unfortunately, it looks like I managed to mess up the ailerons somewhat back then. I'm guessing it was me, I can't remember!

One side has to large a gap? And the other is rubbing. (See photos).

What should I do, can I live with it, or should I try to use de-bonder and redo them? Will de-bonder evaporate and I can then reglue? De-Bonder is just acetone isn't it?

I have asked a friend of mine, but thought I would post it here too. In fact he may see this before the mail... (Right Don?!)

If they are only CA type hinges, just cut through them with a knife and trim them right back to the edge's. Cut new CA slots to the left or right of the existing hinges and glue in some new ones. Take's about 5 minutes. Easy.

The side that is rubbing will deffinately cause a problem, the side with the gap could.

bjor's solution is the best fix for this.
