Tower Kaos Converted to Tail Dragger

My Feedback: (7)
After a few landings on my club's grass field with the Kaos I started thinking that the stock tricycle landing gear needed to be replaced.
I made it into a tail dragger. Used a Sullivan 40-60 size tail wheel assembly, the mains from my depleted H9 40 Ultra Stick, and 3.5 Dubro tires.
To my surprise the plane came out perfectly balanced.
No more issues with the grass field.
To mount the mains I cut open the bottom of the plane just ahead of the wing and reinforced that area. Then I cut a piece of hard plywood to fit, installed the blind nuts and epoxied the plywood on. Then I bolted the main on to the plywood.
It was an easy conversion. And for me a necessary one.
The Kaos flies great. Engine is an OS 46 AX. This plane is about 1 year old and the covering is still very tight. So I think it paid to go over the covering with an iron prior to flying it.
A great plane for a great price.
