Default Motor placement

I'm building a Sky Raider, Mach 1
where do I put the motor, closer to the firewall, or farther away?
Thank you very much!
Also is there an easy accurate way to mark where the holes are to be drilled?

Probably my favorite trainer for its bolt down wing and semisemetric airfoil. Anyway, you can install all of your other gear into this plane and se if the engine placement on the mount rails will be able to help you ballance the plane, ensuring it is far enough forward to allow the fuel lines to not kink. As far as marking were to drill. Just take a small drill bit in your fingers and press down firmly and make a few turns with it.

If you want to buy a tool, this one is good: http://www.greatplanes.com/accys/gpmr8130.html (price is about $7)

Something I read on RCU:
Put a little oil or dish soap on the engine mount beams.
> position the engine
> drop a little baby powder in the mounting holes
> remove engine
> powder marks the holes

We just got this model. which engine you are using? we are thinking to install OS 35AX in it instead of 46LA (doesnt idle very good) Or 46AX (seems over powered for this model). please suggest?
