Check out the KMP Gee Bee R-2. Lighter , and bigger(more wing area, less wing loading). Glass fuse, cowl and wheel pants.

Just checked out the manual on Great Planes site:
http://www.greatplanes.com/parts/index.html
This a very "Kool" aircraft kit. Includes the dummy radial with pushrod tubes, & has a notch in the bottom of fuse for stock mufflers, and a lot of other neat stuff. Guess I now know what to put my YS 1.20 in.

I saw the KMP Gee Bee at the Toledo show last spring. The color match on the fiberglass fuse and heat shrink wings was awful!!!!!!!!! GP much better...very, very sexy!!!

Does this plane land as difficultly as the G2 upgrade #5 Gee Bee does?
I Got it figured out, but it took a while.
I have to hold about 1/4 throttle, until I'm about 3' off the deck. It stalls really fast.

This engine should pull the Bee pretty good.
