Default world models covering?

Hello! I have a World P-40 Warhawk that, for reasons only known to me on certain days of the week, I have decided that I needed to recover it. While pulling and tugging and ripping, I have noticed that it is unlike any other covering I've seen (mono and ultra coat, and limited fiber) so, does anyone know what they use? And more important, how to take it off cleanly? It seems that the center part and the tips of the wings are fiberglass, and it while the clear plastic stuff pulls off, it leaves this other filmy stuff behind that it not much fun to take off. Thanks!

Use a heat gun to soften the glue, sheet should come off easly. Ant resdue can be wipe away with paper towel soaked in actone. Use actone carefully, it can loosen glue joints.
