Default GP Minnow

Hi, I am just about finished putting one together. I have read opposite reports about the landing speed. One guy reported that his just floated in when he had a dead stick. Others are saying that it won't slow down. Is this just a difference in flying experience or is the difference in the higher pitch props dragging the plane along when the engine is running? Also would like to know if the plane stalls at lower speeds? Thanx for any feed back! [8D]

Default RE: GP Minnow

Update: flew the Minnow 3 times. Had an OS 61 sitting on the shelf so thats what I used. The plane amplifies the sound of the engine making it sound a lot more powerful that it is. The plane actually speeds up quite fast on the runway and and climbs straight out with out needing ailerons even in a stiff cross wind. It handles like a good sport plane but is not that fast in the air with just a 61 pulling it. Flew around for 5 minutes and brought it around to land. Slowed it down well before it touched down and it landed easily. On the second flight the engine faltered so I brought the plane back around. The engine died and I landed dead stick with no problems. The plane handles nice and looks good in the air. The 3d flight was straight forward with no issues. Now that I know how the plane handles, I should decide on a larger engine for it. [8D]
