Challenger II information needed
#1
Looking to see if anyone has any information on a ARF Challenger II. The ARF wing span is 68.7 inches long. I do not think it is the Experimental Aircraft Model ARF.. Specifications are in Metric's and the color scheme is two tone blue strips on a white back ground. I have not been able to find the manufacturer name anywhere on the modle, manual, or box.
The manual I have looks like it was copied and the pictures are grainy. I'm hoping I can get a PDF copy where the photos are clearer.. Anyone have any ideas on who made this ARF? I picked it up at an auction and want to see if I can't get this in the air...

Whoa. Think about this purchase one more time. I had one. And what a bi**h to fly. A friend of mine is an International Champion RC pilot and he had a terrible time as well. The CG is absolutely critical and even then it changes throughout the flight due to fuel use. It is not a well designed model. Be warned. I finally gave away my airframe and never saw the plane flown again. Two flights total.
Good luck!

Yep, I think this going to a challenge, no play on words there! I've heard anything good about these either but who knows maybe I can get this done.. I had a question about the wing struts? I can't make it out for sure but it looks like the wing struts go through the Fuse and attach to the a plywood cross member. Does that sound right?

First of all they are functional struts. No short cuts. If I recall correctly, they attached to the bottom of the fuselage by wrapping around the metal attachment strap. Let me know how it goes and video your successful (no doubt stressful) maiden when that happens. Again good luck!

Nope. I was referring to a Chinese or Taiwan made aircraft rear-facing-engine pusher prop aircraft called the Challenger II and based upon the full scale aircraft.

I have no information on a Pitts Challenger II. You never mentioned a "Pitts" before.
